AI or Apple Intelligence is heading to iOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS 15, and visionOS 2.
The next major update for many Apple devices is rolling out very soon. But the launch is part of the WWDC 2024, scheduled for June 10, Monday, 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
Let’s clear up the schedule first. In Manila, the PST 10 a.m. schedule will be on June 11 at 1 a.m., which means midnight later.
Now, the much awaited iOS 18 will bring numerous features and improvements to eligible devices. According to reports, this update has an AI package dubbed “Apple Intelligence.” It’s designed to improve everyday productivity.
One of the AI features is the AI-based generated summaries for Apple’s native browser Safari. Using an AI-powered algorithm, iOS 18 devices can also sort and tidy up emails and offer message summaries.
The Photo app will be getting advanced editing tools, including the ability to erase unwanted details on images. This is similar to what Google launched for the Google Photos app.
Generative AI remains a part of the update and this generates emojis as you write. These emojis are beyond what’s offered in the standard list.
OpenAI and cloud computing will be present as well. However, the latter will utilize confidential computing to shield users from privacy breach.
As of writing, iOS 18 will be accompanied by watchOS 11, macOS 15, and visionOS 2 during the event. Across all these OS environments, the focus is only one thing: AI.
