Call of Duty: Mobile friendly smartphones under 5K

Want to play Call of Duty: Mobile on a budget? You can with these smartphones that only cost 5K and below.

Call of Duty: Mobile is so popular that everyone wants to play it all-day, all-night. But owning a smartphone, especially for many kids and students, can be challenging.

So, we listed here some phones with affordable price tags, 5K and below, which are capable of running and playing CODM at home or on-the-go.

Disclaimer: The devices on this list are entry-level smartphones. Their prices are subject to change, particularly during sale events. Sometimes, vouchers are provided by official flagship stores to further cut the price.

TECNO SPARK 20

The TECNO SPARK 20 can dish out some gaming performance. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, paired with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM. The RAM is expandable by 8 GB via dynamic memory expansion. Doing so may help app stability and loading speeds.

Playing CODM on this smartphone is definitely possible with some drawbacks. The game settings allow up to Medium graphics and up to High frame rate. But to have a smooth gaming experience, we recommend going for Low graphics and High frame rate. You need to accurately see and respond to enemy fire in this game.

Of course, the trade would be low color accuracy, less texture details, and lack of shadows. You can customize the graphics to get the best balance between performance and quality. Perhaps you can go for the Medium frame rate and Medium graphics, but turn off extras like shadows.

TECNO SPARK Go 2024

The TECNO SPARK Go 2024 is more affordable than the previous smartphone. However, it comes with a less powerful Unisoc T606 processor and a more limited RAM of 4 GB, along with 128 GB of internal storage. The RAM is expandable as well, but it isn’t very smooth enough for graphical-demanding games.

CODM will run on this handset but you need to tweak the in-game settings to improve the gaming experience. This is because the game may suffer from occasional lags and frame drops. Plus, the gyroscope is a bit delayed on this device.

To achieve better gameplay, set the graphics to Low and the frame rate to Medium.

Infinix HOT 30i

The Infinix HOT 30i is powered by Unisoc T606, so you need to adjust a few things to get a good game. The smartphone also comes with 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of ROM, and a memory expansion feature of up to 8 GB.

Unfortunately, the virtual RAM expansion and weak CPU won’t be enough to make High graphics playable. The lags will be through the roof, especially on big maps. It’s recommended to set the frame rate to Medium or High while the graphics on Low. Turn off extra visuals like shadows to further refine your gaming experience.

itel S23 4G

The itel S23 4G may give a bit of smoother gaming experience even though it’s Unisoc T606-powered too. Depending on the chosen variant, this smartphone can have up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of ROM.

The RAM may be expandable via virtual expansion of twice the amount. So, 4 + 4 GB or 8 + 8 GB. The game seems better on this handset on small maps, but bigger maps will cause some lags and slight delays to occur.

Although the device supports up to Medium graphics and High frame rates, it’s better to get the graphics to Low and the frame mate to Medium for stability. You may also apply a custom setting and test it out.

POCO C65

The POCO C65 is also powered by MediaTek Helio G85 and may have up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of ROM. But unlike the ones mentioned here, this smartphone is the only one that can run CODM at the smoothest possible experience at High frame rates.

When playing bigger maps, the device still suffers a bit of lags and frame drops here and there. That means you need to tweak the settings and lower the graphics and disable visual extras to smoothen the experience. You can customize the settings as well for the preferred balance between performance and visuals.

Final Words

In CODM and similar first-person shooting games, the biggest factor is stable performance often translated by the frame rate or FPS. If the FPS drops, you will easily miss something and it can mean the entire match.

Thus, your priority is getting the most stable FPS on your smartphone. Between a meager 30 or 45 FPS versus a variable 60 FPS, the former is better because the chances of frame drops are lower than the latter.

These shooting games demand consistent frames at all times so you can aim and shoot at your enemies.
