Google is rolling out new portrait touch-up modes to Google Meet on mobile devices, with a web release planned by the end of 2023. This highly requested feature allows users to apply subtle beauty effects during video calls.
The two portrait touch-up modes available are Subtle and Smoothing. Subtle mode provides very light cosmetic adjustments, while Smoothing mode is a bit more noticeable. Both modes are designed to lightly touch up your appearance, so you won’t look like you’re wearing a filter.
To enable portrait touch-up, go to the Google Meet settings and toggle on the feature. It’s important to note that portrait touch-up is only available to users with premium Google accounts, including Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Education Plus, Google One, and Google Workspace Individual accounts.
Google Meet’s new portrait touch-up modes are a welcome addition, especially for employees who are required to use Google Meet for work. These modes allow users to look and feel their best during video calls, even if they’re not feeling their best.
