After surviving the cold, HONOR Magic6 Pro conquered the DXOMARK camera test.
An HONOR smartphone reaches a new milestone, and this latest achievement may convince more users to consider buying it.
It’s the HONOR Magic6 Pro, crowned as the number one in DXOMARK camera test, specifically in the Global Ranking. But before we proceed to the verdict, here’s a quick rundown of the camera specs:
- 50MP main camera: 1/1.28” sensor, 24mm equivalent, automatic variable aperture, OIS, AF
- 50MP ultra-wide lens: 1/2.88” sensor, 13mm equivalent, f/2.0 aperture, AF
- 180MP telephoto lens: 1/1.4” sensor, 68mm equivalent, f/2.6 aperture, OIS, AF
The benchmarking website, DXOMARK, commended the HONOR Magic6 Pro in its ability to capture vivid and natural colors on photo and video, good details at most zoom settings, and nice portrait in the bokeh mode.
The handset also received positive remarks on its quick and accurate autofocus and good wide dynamic range, along with accurate face exposure on both photo and video. However, nothing’s perfect so the smartphone received some light scolding.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro was observed with inconsistent sharpness between video frames when recording while walking, some artifacts during high-contrast scenes, and motion blur on portraits under very low-light conditions. But these may still be fixed via software update.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro scored 158 points, first place, in Global Ranking and 158 points, first place, in Ultra Premium Ranking. Following it are HUAWEI Mate 60+ and OPPO Find X7 Ultra, with 157 points each, both in second place in Global Ranking and Ultra Premium Ranking.
HUAWEI P60 Pro, with 156 points, takes the third spot on Global Ranking and Ultra Premium Ranking.
