Meizu is gearing up to unveil its latest lineup of smartphones, the Meizu 21 series, in China. The company has been actively teasing the standard Meizu 21 for the past few days, leaving some uncertainty about whether the Pro variant will be announced alongside it. However, a recent Weibo post by Meizu Group Chairman and CEO Shen Ziu confirmed that the official launch date for the Meizu 21 will be revealed tomorrow.
In addition to the launch date announcement, prominent leaker Digital Chat Station has provided insights into the device’s pricing. According to their tip, the Meizu 21 is expected to be priced around 4,000 Yuan (~₱31,202.02), positioning it directly against other competitive smartphones in its category, such as the Xiaomi 14 series, iQOO 12 series, and the Vivo X100 lineup, all of which start at 3,999 Yuan.
Specifications and Features
The Meizu 21 is confirmed to pack a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, promising exceptional performance for demanding tasks like gaming and multitasking. The device is also expected to boast a stunning 6.55-inch Samsung AMOLED display, likely with an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The flat display is rumored to feature ultra-thin bezels measuring just 1.74mm on all four sides, providing an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Meizu 21 is expected to house a capacious 4,800mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, ensuring long-lasting usage and quick power replenishment. In the imaging department, the device is rumored to sport a triple-lens rear camera setup, featuring an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens for capturing detailed shots from various distances. The rear panel is also said to be equipped with an RGB-LED flash for enhanced low-light photography.
This is expected to be one of the most affordable smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
