realme GT5 is set to debut on August 28 more details about the upcoming flagship are revealed on Weibo. It is now confirmed that it will be powered by the base version of the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 and not an overclocked version but it allows users to adjust CPU clock levels
The flagship device will also have a grandiose 24GB RAM and 1TB storage combo, a prevalent choice of the current trend of flagships in China.
The realme GT5 chipset is not a big surprise, but the option for users to adjust the CPU clock levels is a real rarity and the first to offer such granular controls. Leaked screenshots revealed an interface where all three clusters could have their speeds adjusted independently. Realme confirmed the feature hours later through a separate post on Weibo.
The device will arrive on Monday, but we also expect to see a Pro variant later this year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The big question is which of these devices will escape the domestic market and whether all the neat features that are teased to the domestic crowd will be available internationally. We hope to have the answers soon.
