Red Magic 8S Pro Global confirmed with SD 8+ Gen 2 and advanced cooling

Two weeks after the China version announcement, the much anticipated Global version of the Red Magic 8S Pro is also announced

The global versions of the Red Magic 8S Pro have been announced, and they come with a number of improvements over the Chinese version. The most notable change is the use of the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor, which offers a 5% increase in CPU performance and a 5.7% increase in GPU performance. The phone also has a dedicated gaming chip called the Redcore R2, which is designed to further improve gaming performance.

In addition to the processor, the global versions of the Red Magic 8S Pro also have a slightly larger battery (6,000mAh) and a slower charging speed (65W instead of 80W). The rest of the specifications are the same as the Chinese version, including the 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the 50MP main camera, and the ICE 12.0 cooling system.

The global versions of the Red Magic 8S Pro are available in three variants: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB Aurora. The prices start at $650(~₱35,392.50) for the 12GB/256GB Midnight version and go up to $780(~₱42,471.00) for the 16GB/512GB Aurora version.

The devices can be ordered through the redmagic.gg website, and there are early bird deals available between July 27 and August 2. The open sales will start on August 3.

As of now, there is no word on when the global versions of the Red Magic 8S Pro will be available in the Philippines. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.
