ROG Phone 9 PH leaks: SD 8 Gen 4, AMOLED display, gamer centric features, Q1 2025 launch?

Just six months after launching the ROG 8 series, ASUS is teasing the next generation of gaming phones with the leaked model number ASUSAI2501C. While details are scarce, rumors suggest a Q1 2025 launch for the ROG 9 and ROG 9 Pro.

Packing the Latest Punch

Both ROG 9 models are expected to be equipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Leaked benchmarks hint at impressive performance, potentially exceeding Apple’s A17 Pro in single-core tests. This powerhouse chipset,combined with an improved cooling system, promises smooth and sustained performance for even the most demanding games.

Building on Success

While specifics are under wraps, we can look to the ROG Phone 8 series for clues about what to expect. The ROG 8 offered a vibrant 165Hz AMOLED display with customizable lighting options. Both models likely boasted ample RAM (12GB or more) and speedy UFS 4.0 storage. 

The camera system is also likely to be top-notch, potentially featuring a 50MP main sensor and versatile zoom and ultrawide capabilities.
