AOKZOE A2 Ultra debuts to challenge Steak Deck and MSI Claw. But can it shake up the competition?
Introduced at the Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024, the AOKZOE A2 Ultra sports a chipset from the Intel Meteor Lake: the high-end Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. This is the same processor powering the MSI Claw.
For the other specs, the AOKZOE A2 Ultra has the following:
- 7-inch display panel
- 1920 x 1200 display resolution
- 32GB or 64GB LPDDR5X RAM at 7467MHz
- PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth 5.4
- 12600mAh battery
- 65W GaN charger
- Windows 11
- Weighs 666 grams
The new handheld console features Hall effect analog triggers with RGB lights. It also has a liquid cooling system to combat heating from extended gaming.
So, AOKZOE A2 Ultra or MSI Claw? That depends on the price. But if you think that either will beat the ROG Ally, think again!
A video comparison revealed that the AMD Z1 Extreme processor on ASUS ROG Ally, also on Lenovo Legion Go, could easily demolish Intel Core Ultra 7 155H in gaming performance.
The AMD chipset could double the FPS of the Intel CPU on various games, including Forza Horizon 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Anyway, there’s also a non-pro version in AOKZOE A2, powered by AMD Ryzen 7 7840U and Radeon 780M. It has 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage. This one’s price starts at $799 or ₱45,434.34.
The pricing for the AOKZOE A2 Ultra is yet to be announced.
