In addition to unveiling the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Google has introduced its latest mobile operating system, Android 14.
The camera app has received a series of enhancements, including support for high-quality HDR images, improved low-light photography on compatible phones, and in-sensor zooming that enables users to zoom in and out without compromising image quality in select third-party applications. Additionally, a new document scanner feature has been integrated, allowing users to digitize physical documents using their device’s camera.
In terms of accessibility, Android 14 offers larger fonts that can be scaled up to 200 percent, providing valuable assistance to visually impaired users. Google has also introduced camera flash notifications designed specifically for individuals with hearing impairments, utilizing the phone’s flash for notifications.
Users can now employ pinch-to-zoom to set magnification levels within their applications, alongside other personalized hearing aid options.
Regarding the lock screen, Google has added new customization options, custom clocks, and lock-screen shortcuts.
