Apple has officially unveiled a new iPad 10th Gen after several reports, updating the iPad lineup without much fanfare, despite the commotion the unexpected fall of the Apple Store caused.
The new iPad makes some significant changes from the entry-level iPad from the previous year. Maybe it will finally convince you to own one? It has a headphone jack… and Type-C charger!
A 10.9-inch IPS LCD (Liquid Retina as they say) with 500 nits of brightness graces the new tablet. The device has flat sides and is also thinner than the one from previous year.
The Apple A14 Bionic chip, which includes a Hexa-Core CPU and a Quad-Core GPU, is another feature of the 10th generation iPad. Finally, a 16-core Neural Engine has been added to improve AI capabilities.
It’s interesting to note that the new iPad 10th generation is currently fully compliant with forthcoming EU universal port standards. In other words, the Lightning connector is a thing of the past thanks to its USB Type-C port.
This is a trend that will continue as more and more Apple products adopt the new specification. The new USB Type-C iPhone 15 series will be available the following year.
Despite the fact that it now supports the original Apple Pencil, you will still require a USB-C to Lightning adaptor because the Pencil needs a Lightning port.
Thankfully, one comes with the iPad 10th Generation box. Anyway, Apple is selling one for $9. Yes, it is too expensive for such a small addition; you may find some of these in other shops as well.
The new iPad is available with 64 GB or 256 GB of storage. You can choose versions that solely support 5G or Wi-Fi.
Since they bring the speedier Wi-Fi 6 standard, the latter is also unique for Wi-Fi consumers. A side Touch ID button and two speakers are also included with the iPad.
The iPad 10th generation features a front-facing Ultrawide 12 MP camera. It is located at the iPad’s edge in landscape mode. The intention is to deliver a positive video calling experience, and it will undoubtedly receive all the glitzy iPadOS 16 features to enhance your video calls.
