Apple’s latest might, iPhone 15 Pro Max, has beaten the leading Android phone on AnTuTu.
iPhone 15 Pro Max’s performance sounds really cool on paper, but many waited until its scores appeared on benchmarks. The A17 Pro is considered the fastest mobile CPU on the market to date after its scores showed up on Geekbench. The chipset performed incredibly on single-core and multi-core, outclassing the iPhone 14 Pro lineup.
Now, the smartphone has graced everyone on AnTuTu and the score deserves recognition. The iPhone 15 Pro Max 8GB/1TB variant running iOS 17 pulled a staggering 1,641,883. Although it smashes many other flagship models in the market, it was slightly behind two Android phones. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro scored 1,733,703 while iQOO 11s flexed 1,645,393 on AnTuTu.
What might hype Apple users is the small victory over a powerful Android phone. iPhone 15 Pro Max defeated the Red Magic 8 Pro+ by a margin, with the latter scoring only 1,632,859.
Other details unveiled on AnTuTu include A17 Pro scoring 392,643 on CPU, 597,734 on GPU, and 306,164 on RAM. For iPhone 14 Pro users, that means a 20% improvement over the A16 Bionic and almost 27% performance increase on the newer GPU.
The numbers are undoubtedly high and are likely palpable when you play video games or do resource-hungry apps. But the small differences between iPhone 15 Pro Max and the devices mentioned earlier are not very obvious and may not even mean nothing if apps/games are well-optimized.
iPhone 15 Pro Max is heading to US shelves this weekend and is expected to run upcoming AAA mobile titles, including the much-awaiting Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
