Mediatek is anticipated to introduce the Dimensity 9300, featuring a distinct octa-core CPU. Recently, this platform made an appearance in AnTuTu’s database, showcasing a remarkable performance result exceeding 2 million, marking a new record. Additionally, the scores for each individual component are quite impressive.
The CPU configuration is expected to consist of 4 Cortex-X4 units and 4 Cortex-A720 units, likely arranged in a 1+3+4 cluster configuration, with no inclusion of the “small” Cortex-A520 units.
The device utilized in this test remains a mystery, and its model number provides no discernible information; it may well be a testing prototype. The testing was conducted with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, running the Android 14 operating system.
Remarkably, this outcome marks the first instance of a smartphone surpassing the 2,000,000 threshold on AnTuTu. Notably, each component’s performance far exceeds that of any Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 result – the CPU outperforms by 65%, the GPU by 55%, and the LPDDR5X RAM combined with UFS 4.0 storage operates 33% faster. The User Experience (UX) score is over 50% higher as well.
It’s important to emphasize that these figures represent the raw hardware performance, and real-world usage experiences are unlikely to exhibit such drastic variations unless accompanied by exceptionally robust cooling solutions. As of now, Mediatek has not disclosed the release date for the Dimensity 9300 or the initial phones that will feature it.
